Noise Hearing Protection Conservation

Workers may generate high noise levels while conducting their work; however, organizations must ensure noise exposure assessments are conducted as per OHS legislation on all worksites that may have high noise levels, where hearing protection is required and will be worn in the event testing deems it necessary.
If a noise exposure assessment confirms that workers are exposed to excess noise at a work site, an employer must develop and implement a noise management program. This program includes changes to Alberta OHS Code Part 16, March 31, 2023
