Laceration on Finger After Glove Gets Caught in Drill Safety Alert

The IP placed the rubber stopper horizontally in the vice on the back end of the welding truck. When the IP started drilling the stopper it became loose and started to spin on the drill bit. The spinning rubber stopper got tangled up with the IPs glove. Before the IP could stop the drill the IP’s index and middle fingers were pulled into the drill bit. The drill bit shredded the IPs glove and scrapped/pinched the IPs index finger. The IP froze the scene and contacted the Supervisor.
